Who is Papa Satch?
Do you want your heart to resonate with what your ears are listening to? Then Papa Satch is a band you want to check out! But before we talk about their music, just who is Papa Satch?
About the Band
Bob Sachnoff founded Papa Satch and recorded on his own from 2006 to 2007. Steve Ronsen arrived during 2017 to 2018. Last to join was John Zych, who came on board around 2019.
All the band members complement each other incredibly well. Bob sings some of the lead and backup vocals. Steve also covers lead and backup vocals while playing guitar, bass, drums, and contributing some keyboards. John Zych assists with vocals and performs on the keyboards. Their musical style is a mix of country, rock, and alternative rock.
Who Writes the Music?
Bob has composed all the band’s songs except one and has written most of the lyrics. Co-writers on some of the lyrics are Steve, Arden Fekett, John Hesterberg, and Clarke Ganshaw. Steve, Clarke, and Arden have produced songs complete with lyrics, currently featured on the albums Open Dreams and No Fall Down. Bob sang all the vocals and played all the instruments on these albums, with the exception of Phil Kennelty on keyboards.
New Music Release
Papa Satch has released eight albums with their newest, Waiting on a Sunday Day, coming out on November 15th, 2023. The new CD contains many older songs and remixes that Bob didn't originally promote when they first premiered. Of course, there are also a lot of brand-new songs to revel in.

This album’s feel is a little more upbeat, where your heart will want to dance with your feet, but still enjoy listening to the rhythm. It has a touch of horn in the background, something lovely to listen to on a rainy day as you drink a cup of hot cocoa or hot tea. Please take a moment to listen to it and the other songs that Papa Satch has released – your heart and feet will thank you.
Future Projects
Bob's goal for the future is to start recording Papa Satch’s tenth album. He is working hard to promote their music not only on radio stations and Spotify playlists but also in movies or TV shows. They already have a lead in that direction by writing the NEW theme song for Let’s Talk About the Music, which fans will get to hear next year. Currently, both Steve and John are out playing solo gigs while the band Papa Satch warms up to tour live in 2024.
